Christmas 2008

We celebrated Christmas a few times this year and were able to visit with most of our family. We had a great time, but we were pretty tired when it was all over. Faith had a wonderful time opening all of her gifts, singing at the programs and getting to play with all of her cousins. It would take me days to post all of the pictures from our Christmas season, so I just randomly picked some from here and there and made this slideshow. You can see that all of the kids (and the adults as well) had a great time!

We got exciting news twice during Christmas. Jon and Angela are expecting their 4th blessing next year and Tom and LeAnn are expecting their 2nd blessing next year as well. Congratulations to both families - it's always heartwarming to hear of a new baby on the way!!! :)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Life House Youth - Everything Drama

A friend of mine posted this on her blog a while back and I was thinking of it again today. I was really touched by this skit and thought that some of you may be as well.

Student of the Month

Faith is the Student of the Month! We also recieved her first semester grade card a few weeks ago and she did great. Her teachers speak very highly of her.....and once again, she is the Mother Hen of the class. Who didn't see that coming? Anyway, we are proud of her and wanted to share her big news.
Sorry I haven't blogged in a few weeks, but we have just been really busy. Faith had a fun Halloween, she was Snow White this year. I had the flu that night, so she went trick or treating with Aunt Jamie. I don't have any pictures yet, I have to get them from Jamie. Let's see, we visited the Zoo and Chuckie Cheese's a few Sundays ago. It was lots of fun for the kiddos....but we were all very tired at the end of the day. Josh and Faith went back to Chuckie Cheese's the next weekend for a birthday party......so I think Josh has had his fill of Chuckie Cheese for atleast the next year or so. So, that's about it....we've just been working, schooling and trying to spend time together in between. I love when the fall rolls around and the weather is still nice enough to be outside without sweating, but it sure seems like fall is already ending this year. I'm glad we have been able to do a few things together before it gets cold again.
A quick thanks to those of you who have been praying for Jamie. The surgery went great and she is home now, where she would much rather be. Mom is trying to help her as much as Jamie will allow. The doctor told her that she was fine to lift Tillie. She has 15 staples in her stomach, so I really don't think she should be, but the doctor knows best. So, anyway....Jamie's doing great....Thanks again.

Wedding..

This weekend was very eventful for the Littlejohn and Raysor families! Sam and Susie had their wedding on Saturday....and I must say that it was absolutely gorgeous!! Everybody had such a great time and all of the kids had so much fun getting to play and dance. Susie looked stunning in her wedding gown and Sam looked very nice in his tux. Miss Olivia looked very adorable in her little red dress. She did so well this weekend, even with all of the commotion, she was a little social butterfly and really ate up all of the attention! :) Here are some pictures (taken by H.O. Wade of Vivid Impressions).

Happy 25th Anniversary Mom & Dad

My siblings and I got together and planned a surprise anniversary party for our parents, which we had this past Saturday. Without Josh here (he was helping his brother, Bob, move on Saturday), things were kind of crazy for me....you should have seen me frantically running around getting last minute details taken care of. I'm glad that I was able to make it through the day! We actually decorated twice....my parents brought up their karaoke machine and while they were setting it up...we were supposed to be decorating for the "birthday" party....so we did...Happy Birthday banner and all.....then we took it down and redecorated with anniversary stuff. It was a very hectic day and I'm truly amazed that we were able to pull it off!! Mom and Dad were both pleasantly surprised...they didn't have a clue the party was for them. You can tell by the reaction in this picture.

It was a very nice evening and I'm very thankful that friends and family were excited to celebrate Mom & Dad's marriage. It was a nice tribute to a wonderful couple! So, today is there actual anniversary....Happy 25th Mom and Dad!! Hope you have 25 more!
