Easter

We spent Easter at my parent's house this year. Here are a couple pictures of some of the Grandkid's after the egg hunt. We usually have two or three requests to hide the eggs again, but because the weather was so cold, I guess the kids really just wanted to get back inside! I was suprised to see Easter so early this year. I received an email from a friend that said nobody alive today will ever see Easter this early again. Thought that was an interesting thing to know.
I'm hoping we'll have some warmer weather soon, I'm really ready for the sun to beam down on my face!!

"Imitation is the Sweetest Form of Flattery"

When I looked over and saw Faith with my crossword book in the tub, I asked her what she was doing. "I'm trying to do like Mommy does." The book was completely soaked and she couldn't figure out why the pen wouldn't write on it. It was so cute!! How could we not laugh at this site?? Needless to say, I'll have to get a new crossword book!!

Spirit Week

Faith got to participate in her first Spirit Week at school last week. She had so much fun dressing in different, sometimes silly, outfits each day. She wasn't too excited to put her uniform on again this Monday! Here are pictures of each of the days.
Decades (1950's)
Everyday Hero (Cowgirl)
Secret Agent

Clash Day
Hawaiin Day

Earrings.....

Faith got her ears pierced in December and has been waiting anxiously since then to put on a new pair of earrings. Grandma Phyllis gave her a ton of earrings to keep....she has more earrings than I do and informed me last night that I can borrow them if I want to. So, here's a picture of her with her choice of earrings for the day. After we put them in, she stood in front of the mirror for about an hour fixing her hair and trying on different clothes. She would even shake her head and say "Hey, Mom do you hear my earrings making that noise." It was really cute and it gave me a bit of a glimpse into the future...I'm afraid that she'll take forever to get ready!
Isn't she beautiful!

Another Update...

Faith's appointment with Dr. Lux went well. He left her on the steroids for another two weeks and we are currently phasing them out. If she returns to "normal on medication" after the steroids that will be great! That would mean that something temporary was causing her problems and we'll be back to normal. But, if she goes back to coughing terribly at night and mouth breathing, then we'll be back to see Dr. Lux and an ENT. They will have to put her under to determine if her adenoids are growing back or not, so we are trying to avoid that if possible. Hopefully after the steroids are out of her system, she'll return to her old self. :) Sorry I didn't get this posted sooner, we've been passing around some more illnesses.I finally went to the dr. yesterday and am feeling better today. I have a double ear infection, sinus infection and bronchitis. I'm very thankful for antibiotics today, because I can finally eat something without it seriously hurting my throat.....and you all know how much I love to eat! :) So, I'm on the road to recovery. Faith is doing very well, sleeping wonderfully and I'm sure she'll be just fine after stopping the steroids. I'll try to keep you updated on how she's doing.
